The ezcards.io gift card API is a REST API that lets your platform check balances, pull live catalog data, and place orders for digital gift cards and game keys. Every request is authenticated with an API key and a bearer token. Orders run either instantly for single items or asynchronously for bulk volume.

How authentication works
Both the staging and production environments use two credentials. Your API key identifies your application and is sent in the x-api-key header. Your bearer access token proves authentication and is sent in the Authorization header. Credentials are issued in .env format and are environment-specific, so test and live operations stay separated.
How orders and invoicing are grouped
ezcards.io runs on a transaction model rather than individual sales order numbers. Each create-order request counts as one transaction. Transactions placed on the same day are appended to a single purchase order, and one invoice for that purchase order is generated and sent at the end of the day. Reconciliation is one invoice per day rather than one per order.
